This will NOT affect its functionality; the chain still freely moves and that link is still secure, it is just split. It can also easily be hidden by hiding it under the next chain link. The other minor flaw is the small crack in the base, also pictured. This split is minor and really not noticeable. It also does not affect the piece in any way.
